The area that is now Ostrander, Ohio was laid out in 1852 before being incorporated in 1875. The village, which was named after a railroad official of the same name, was originally platted as a result of the CCC & I Railroad that ran through the area. In the mid 20s, a large fire destroyed a good portion of the town, though much of it was rebuilt over the following years.
Today, Ostrander is a quiet village, though a vibrant one, as it is well known for its holiday celebrations along with its extremely popular annual car show. While visiting Ostrander, be sure to enjoy the following activities available in the surrounding area.
